Great reality check at 2 Food & 1 cybersecurity events our team attended.
We met 100s of people in food manufacturing and cyberseucrity, the reality is scary in the food and beverage industry.

Last week in Seattle and Portland our leadership did a reality check at 2 of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) (https://www.linkedin.com/company/institute-of-food-technologists/) events, where we met 100s of food companies. The other event by ISSA Rainier Chapter (https://www.linkedin.com/company/issa-rainier-chapter/) on AI and Cybersecurity.
On the food event side, we learned that 90% of the food companies we met had a cyber incident in the last 6 months, ranging from digital disruption to cyber-physical impacts. The lack of preparedness is a critical vulnerability for our global food supply.
At the cyberseucrity ISSA meeting, we saw how Agentic AI Amplification is rapidly advancing the capabilities of cyber criminals and many other great topics.
Thanks for allowing to share the food story Terry Boedeker (https://www.linkedin.com/in/terryboedeker/). It was great meeting Manoj Kumar (MBA, MS, CISSP, CCISO) (https://www.linkedin.com/in/themanojkumar/), Guruprasad G Venkatesha (https://www.linkedin.com/in/guruprasadgv/), Michael Ledson (https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelledson/), Parth Shah (https://www.linkedin.com/in/parth--shah/) you've all inspired us.
The takeaway? Business Impact Assessments and preparing for digital defense are no longer optional for the food ecosystem.
