Board Advisory Announcement

Two World-Class Leaders join the CSAFI.ORG Mission.

It is with tremendous excitement that we announce two extraordinary leaders who have officially joined the CSAFI Board of Advisors:

Kyle Draisey (https://www.linkedin.com/in/kyledraisey/), appointed as Board Advisor - Global Strategy & Cyber Resilience and Timothy Grotheer (https://www.linkedin.com/in/timgnh/), appointed as Board Advisor - Global Seafood Cyber Resilience.

Both bring depth, credibility and genuine passion for the mission that is rare to find. Together, they represent exactly the convergence of operational expertise and cybersecurity leadership that CSAFI was built to champion.

Kyle Draisey

CSAFI Board Advisor · Global Strategy & Cyber Resilience

Kyle Draisey brings something that very few cybersecurity leaders in any industry possess: a genuine national security lens forged through years at the intersection of intelligence, defense and enterprise cyber leadership.

As CISO and Head of Cybersecurity at Sagent, Kyle currently safeguards a mortgage servicing ecosystem with trillions of dollars of assets on its infrastructure leading network, cloud, cybersecurity and AI/ML strategy across a fast-evolving regulated environment. Before Sagent, Kyle spent nearly a decade as Head of Cyber & Intelligence - US at BAE Systems, delivering mission solutions to Federal-Civilian agencies, the Intelligence Community, Law Enforcement and Defense organizations.

His military career as a US Army SIGINT Operator and Cryptologic Voice Interceptor supporting Airborne and Special Operations Forces, followed by service as a Counterintelligence Officer, gives Kyle a perspective that few cybersecurity professionals can replicate: he understands threats not as theoretical constructs but as operational realities with physical consequences.

For CSAFI, Kyle's appointment is transformative. His ability to see food-sector cyber threats through a geopolitical and national security framework not merely an IT-risk lens is exactly what the industry needs as nation-state actors increasingly target food supply chains.

"The global food and agriculture sector is the most critical pillar of human stability. Food security is inseparable from national and global security and we must treat it that way." Kyle Draisey, Board Advisor – Global Strategy & Cyber Resilience, CSAFI.ORG

Kyle's advisory focus will span global mission advocacy, resilience framework development, and strategic network expansion across the US, UK, and Australia regions where his deep contacts in government, defense, and enterprise can open doors that advance CSAFI's collective defense mission.

Timothy Grotheer

Board Advisor · Global Seafood Cyber Resilience

If you wanted to design the perfect person to bridge the world of seafood operations and cybersecurity, you would design Timothy Grotheer. His career sits precisely at the intersection of food-industry technology, global standards, and practical cyber governance and that combination is extraordinarily rare.

As Vice President of Information Technology at the Global Seafood Alliance (GSA), Tim leads technology strategy for one of the most respected standard-setting organizations in the global seafood industry, overseeing infrastructure, security and operations in a hybrid environment spanning Portsmouth, New Hampshire and international partners. He simultaneously serves as Chair of the Technical Council at the Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability (GDST) the international multi-stakeholder initiative setting interoperability standards for the entire seafood supply chain.

Tim's foundation in software engineering, cloud-native architecture, and NIST-compliant security frameworks built through leadership roles at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and multiple technology organizations means he understands cyber risk not as an abstract board-level concern but as a living, breathing reality on the plant floor.

Tim's appointment to lead CSAFI's Global Seafood Industry Resilience Board is a watershed moment. The seafood sector spanning aquaculture, processing, cold-chain logistics, and international distribution is one of the most digitally complex and yet not well cyber-protected sub-sectors in the global food industry. Tim's unique position inside the industry's own standards infrastructure means he can drive change from the inside out.

"Protecting the seafood ecosystem requires the convergence of operational leadership and advanced technology strategy. The seafood supply chain cannot wait for a major incident to wake it up, the time to build resilience is now." — Timothy Grotheer, Board Advisor – Global Seafood Cyber Resilience, CSAFI

Tim will support CSAFI initiatives across seafood-sector threat intelligence sharing, third-party supply chain risk, responsible AI adoption, workforce readiness and industry standards advocacy effectively help CSAFI building the world's first community-driven cybersecurity resilience program purpose-built for seafood producers and distributors.
